MY EXPERIENCE :
Vistied this place whilst returining from Mamallapuram. Situated midway between Chennai and Mamallapuram, this is one of India's best conceived folk museums, large in scale and devoted to the rich architectural and artistic heritage of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The museum exposes visitors to many traditions of the south which you might have otherwise not be aware of.

Apart from this walk in experience there are also various classes being conducted (glass blowing, pottery, painting to name a few) and one gets to interact with artisans who have a permanent display spread out around the complex.
TIP - Canteen facilities are available within the premises.
